| Abstract | In this article the author discusses the pre-hospital emergency activities as an integral part of the existing primary health care. Discussion is focused on its function and organization. Within the context of the pre-hospital emergency medical activities the emphasis is given to the role of a general practioner. Location of pre-hospital emergency ward and its role within the comprehensive emergency medical care in the city of Ljubljana are discussed. The article describes attained goals, current problems, and presents a short analysis of activities in year 1994. | |
