Abstract		The article presents the Information system of the Institute for Clinical chemistry and biochemistry (IKKKB). Information system supports laboratory work with more than 1000 patterns daily - 8000 tests and 12000 results. System includes 6 automatic analysers, that provide 75 pct. of all results without helping of laboratory technician. System supports use of decoder and enables different types of results: numerical, textual, graphical. Each result can be seen separately of all results can be gathered into report. The concept of information system is completely open and gives possibilities of adding or cancelling tests. It is possible to change the place of testing. Waiting list can be easily adjusted and new analysers applied. Besides the data about samples and results, the system contains stock evidence of reagents and electronic mail.
