Abstract		The world of medical commission has been introduced with the establishment of the Institute for Health Insurance. First degree commissions are organised regionally and the second degree commission is only one in Ljubljana. As medical commissions deal with a large number of facts, there is a great need of computer support. Main task of the commissions are: Coordination with the patient's health service; uniformity of treatment concearning patients rights; co-ordination of the first and second degree commissions; co-operation with the health service to which the patient is sent by commission; co-operation with the services of health Insurance; protection of personal information and documentation. The purpose of this article is to show that development of information system demand co-operation of health workers, computer programmers and other specialists. Such project approach will enable standardisation of work of medical commissions which should be accompanied by law regulations as soon as possible.
