Abstract     Uvod: Pri bolnikih po možganski kapi je eden glavnih ciljev pridobitev samostojne hoje, ki naj bi bila dovolj hitra in učinkovita, da bi oseba prehodila zadostno razdaljo in se lažje vključila v dejavnosti vsakodnevnega življenja. Namen naše raziskave je bil ugotoviti, če s pomočjo Lestvice za oceno funkcionalnosti hoje (FGA) lahko predvidimo, ali bolniki po možganski kapi z bolje ohranjenimi funkcijskimi zmožnosti ob koncu terapevtskega programa pri 6-minutnem testu hoje (6MWT) dosežejo pričakovano prehojeno razdaljo, ki ustreza njihovim antropometričnim lastnostim. Metode: Izvedli smo retrospektivni pregled medicinske dokumentacije 53 bolnikov, vključenih v rehabilitacijsko obravnavo. Poleg antropometričnih podatkov smo pridobili rezultate testov 6MWT, FGA ter Testa hitrosti hoje na 10 m. Za vsakega bolnika smo izračunali razdaljo, ki naj bi jo prehodil v šestih minutah (enačba po Enrightu in Sherrillu). Za oceno uporabnosti FGA ob sprejemu za napoved doseganja 95 % predvidene prehojene razdalje ob odpustu smo uporabili krivuljo ROC. Rezultati: Petnajst bolnikov (28 % preiskovancev) je ob odpustu pri 6MWT zmoglo prehoditi razdaljo, daljšo od 95 % pričakovane glede na izračun po antropometričnih lastnostih. Ocenjena optimalna mejna vrednost FGA ob sprejemu za napoved doseganja 95 % predvidene prehojene razdalje ob odpustu je znašala 22,5 točke. Zaključek: Bolnike, ki ob sprejemu po FGA dosežejo več kot 22 točk, bi načrtno vključili v vadbo hoje na dolge razdalje, tj. načrtni trening hoje v šestih minutah, in dodatno vadbo hoje v šestih minutah z dvojno nalogo (ki se kaže kot učinkovitejša od vadbe brez dodanih nalog).Background: One of the main goals of rehabilitation of patients after stroke is to acquire independent walking that should be fast and efficient enough for the person to cover an adequate distance and integrate easier into the activities of daily living. The purpose of the research was to find out whether Functional Gait Assessment (FGA) can predict whether patients after stroke with better preserved functional abilities would cover the expected distance, in accordance with their anthropometric features, in the 6-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) at the end of the therapeutic programme. Methods: We conducted a retrospective survey of medical records from a study that included 53 subjects who took part in an inpatient rehabilitation programme. Beside the anthropometric data, the results of 6MWT, FGA and 10m Walk Test were collected. The distance that each patient should cover in 6 minutes was calculated (Enright and Sherrill equation). To assess the potential of the FGA at admission as a classifier for identifying the patients who would reach 95 % of the calculated walking distance at discharge, ROC analysis was used. Results: In the 6MWT conducted at discharge, fifteen patients (28.3 % of the subjects) were able to walk a distance longer than the 95 % of the expected distance calculated on the basis of the anthropometric characteristics. The FGA threshold at admission for defining the quality of the FGA classifier for reaching the 95 % of the calculated walking distance at discharge was 22.5 points. Conclusion: Patients who achieve more than 22 points in FGA at admission could be intentionally included into long-distance gait training, i.e., planned 6 minute gait training and additional dual-task 6minute gait training (which has been proven to be more efficient than training without additional tasks).
