Abstract		Health conditions that must be satisfied by drivers applying for a driving licence are specified in the Official Gazette of SFRY, No.5. 1982. The regulation with those valid in some other European countries, and stress the need for adequate equipment of medical centers providing testing of visual ability of drivers. Stepwise assessment in unclear cases is briefly outlined
