Abstract     Our classification of drugs with the effect on psycho physical features distinguish two groups: drugs the use of which entails an absolute prohibition of conducting motor-vehicles or machines and drugs the use of which entails relative prohibition of conducting motor-vehicles or machines. As trigonik are mainly considered the drug from some of the subgroups of the pharmacodynamic group PG 07 - the drugs used in the case of psychotic disorder, of the pharmacodynamic groupo PG 08 - the drugs with the effect on the nervous system and of pharmacodynamic group PG 05 - the drugs with the effect on the metabolism and nutrition. Tranquilizers account for 60 percent of the prescribed/issued drugs on prescriptions from some of the subgroups of the above mentioned pharmacodynamic groups. On average, once in a year, a tranquilizer is prescribed to every third inhabitant of Slovenia. The comparison of prescribing of the drugs with the effect on psycho physical features of the age group above 20 years between the sexes shows that these drugs are two times more frequently prescribed to women than to men. The greatest difference in the frequency of prescribing the drugs was found in the age group 20 to 60 years, which accounts for the largest number of active drivers.
