Abstract		The number of requests for determination of psychoactive drug levels in the blood of motor vehicle drivers sent in to the toxicological laboratory of the Institute for Forensic Medicine has been constantly growing. The author presents the equipment and the present capacities of the laboratory, as well as the established methods used for identification and quantitive determination of blood and urinary levels of psychoactive drugs. In conclusion, the author points out that introduction of some new testing methods should be considered, as well as the purchase of some new laboratory instruments.
