Abstract     The computer network of the University Institute of Clinical Neurophysiology is based on personal computers and on the Novell network software. The system has to cope with two sources of data: biological signals measurements and common information system. Biological signals are collected by medical measurement equipement with different level of computerisation (up to a connection with HP 9000). They are processed/stored partially on the local level, partially in the network. The network extends to every workstation (22 of them) in the UICN where data are recived or created. Programmes are available for the registration of patients, addition and storage of the measurements results, doctors' reports, for word processing, data base creation and manipulation, statistics, graphics etc. Impact and laser printers are connected locally and/or accessible through the network.
