Abstract     Bone metastases are common in ptients with prostatic carcinoma. Scintigraphy can detect them before they are visible on radiologic examination. Obsteoblastic metastases are seen as focaly increased uptake of radiotracer, whereas bigger osteolytic metastases as defect of tracer accumulation. Follow-up is recommended. When bone metastases result in uncurable pain, treatment of osteoblastic metastases with beta-rays emmiters like stroncium is suitable. Furthermore, investigations of kidney function and urinary tract outflow obstruction is possible using dynamic investigations of kidney function.
