Abstract | Quality assurance activities enable health care provider to supply his patient with high quality care. Methods and views of quality assurance are at present in full swing. Benchmarking is one of the advanced methods of quality assurance suitable for bigger institutions and also for health care organizations. Managers have to start the process and organize benchmarking team. Health care providers themselves are the owners of the processes benchmarked and have the best ideas for solving the problems concerning these processes. Benchmarking brings benefits in costs containment issues, too. But the main purpose of benchmarking is a better care for the customers. | |
