Abstract		Work in the intensive health care unit is specially demanding because of frequent stress situations and demanding level of nurse's attention which has to be kept for all the working time. As the consequence of great demands human resources could be damaged, specially if human individual abilities are lower than the working demands are. Damages of psychophysiological balance are manifesting in anxiety increase, increase of depresion and psychosomatic problems. Manefestation of all those problems should be prevented by keeping an adequate level of human psyshophysical condition and fitness for duty monitoring. This adequate level of fitness for duty should be achieved with selfinvestments, with investments in personal attitudes towards the work and him or herself.
