Abstract		The paper examines two case studies of combined suicides in mentally disturbed persons, which were investigated by the Institute for Forensic Medicine of Ljubljana in 1994/95. Both cases had three potential causes of death - the first case: acute poisoning with prescription drugs, drowning in a bath, and blood loss from severed blood vessels in the wrist; the second case: hanging inside a car, acute poisoning with carbon monoxide (CO), and a gun shot to the mouth with injury to the head and the brain.
