Abstract		Ciprofloxacin serum levels were drastically reduced after oral ingestion of Fe- and Zn-complexes of ciprofloxacin. AUC values were significantly reduced namely to 15.7 percent and 42.0 percent, respectively. In case of the Bi-complex, a reduction of ciprofloxacin concentration was obseved only in the peak area, however it was of no isgnificance. Water solubility of ciprofloxacin complexes has considerably increased and diffusion coenfficients in the Sartorius absorption model diminished in comparison with ciprofloxacin alone.
