Abstract		The authors present 8 patients who underwent laparoscopic treatment for cysts in abdominal cavity in 1994. five patients had on eor two cysts (congenital) in the liver, one had parasitic liver cyst, while the remaining two patients presented with splenic cyst and a diaphragmatic cyt, respectively. Unroofing of the cyst was performed diaphragmatic cyst, respectively. Unroofing of the cyst was performed in 7 patients. In one patient total pericystectomy combined with cholecystectomy was accomplished.Follow -up ultrasonography 2-6 months after surgery showed a recurrent cyst in 5 patients. We have to conclude that the indication for laparoscopic treatment is rather questionable even in the case of symptomatic cyst.
