Abstract | The maximal hip joint articular pressure in the monopodal stance hip was calculat for femoral heads of various sizes using a three-dimensional mathematical model of the hip joint. It was found that when assessing the degree of residual hip dysplasia in preoperative planning it is essential to take into account the centre-edge angle in conjuction with the femoral head radius and not the centre-edge angle alone. | |
