| Abstract | Project deals with the possibility of market operation of specialized hospitals in the period of reorganization of Slovenian health sector resp, the possibility of operation not only without losses but also with a profit. Author who is also the director of specialized hospital in Postojna is engaged not only with the possibility of the existence but also with the evolution of this hospital on the domains for which there is a shortage in wider region otherwise covered by maternity hospital of Postojna. Author especially exposes over the last ten years very developed treatment of infertility with the methods of assisted reproduction - (form of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer (ET). Regarding the very large namber of infertile married pairs and the circumstances of a very long waiting time for respective treatment, it would be useful to perform these activities in several places in Slovenia. In order to achieve this, it would be necessary to collaborate with most recognized experts on this domain, both at home and abroad. The interest on this domain is broader as it brings also possibilities for trading with hospitals from neighbouring countries. Author further enumerates the remaining possible domains for collaboration, according to priority: - collaboration with abdominal surgeons (minor interventions in proctology, surgical treatment of hernias, etc.), - collaboration with plastic surgeons on the domain of plastic surgery, - collaboration with vascular surgeons ( surgical tretment of varices, etc.), - collaboration with ophthalmologists (surgical tratment of cataract, etc.), - collaboration with specialists in otorhinolaryngology (tonsillotomy, etc.). There is a great demand in Slovenia for all the stated health services and therefore the waiting time is very long. (Abstract truncated at 2000 characters). | |
