Abstract		Response of a muscle contraction can be measured in many different ways. Our research group studied muscle response by means of radial displacement of a muscle belly. Measuring method is non-invasive and enables us to measure responses of different muscles with the same equipment. The shape of a response of a muscle belly to electrical stimulus depends on measured muscle and measured individual. Muscle contraction characteristics can be studied from the shape of a muscle belly response. A response of a single muscle or a muscle group can be detected. The measuring method is useful also for measuring muscle responses, where it is difficult or can't be measured with usual torque measuring method.
