Abstract     Electrochemotherapy enables increased chemotherapeutic drug delivery into the tumors and tumor cells by application of short intense electric pulses at the tumor site. This therapy, that uses nonpermeant or poorly permeant chemotherapeutic drugs is very effective anti-tumor therapy leading into partial or complete regression of the tumors. To increase curability of the tumors new ways of adjuvant immunotherapy are sought. In this study adjuvant immunotherapy with tumor necrosis facotr alpha (TNF- alpha) was tested for its possible application in incrasing anti-tumor effectiveness of electrochemotherapy with bleomycin. Significantly prolonged tumor growth delay and increased tumor curability were observed after combination of TNF- alpha with electrochemotherapy with low doses of bleomycin. Therefore, the results of the study suggest that combination of electrochemotherapy with TNF- alpha may increase the curability of the tumors.
