Abstract     The strength of the trunk flexor and extensor muscles was evaluated in normal and paraplegic subject in isokinetic conditions. The measurements were performed at the velocity of 30 degrees per second with the BIODEXr isokinetic dynamometer in concentric strength of the flexors in paraplegic and normal subject around the upright posture was 1:3 while in eccentric conditions this ratio was 1:10. In concentric extensors contraction, paraplegic subject was not able to perform isokinetic movements while in eccentric conditions the ratio was 1:3. The possibility of improvement of FES assisted paraplegic standing by a cognitive biofeedback is briefly discussed.
