Abstract     Gait analysis was performed on a group of 21 patients suffering from lesions of different motor neurons, which manifested in limited dorsiflexion and eversion of the ankle. Peroneal brace has been prescribed for gait correction. Gait analysis was made by the system developed in our laboratory for studying different gait disorders. In this study we measured basic kinematic parameters and bilateral goniograms of the ankle, knee, and hip in the sagittal and in the frontal plane. The aim of the study was to show quantitatively the differences in gait parameters and gonigrams between the gait with the brace and that without it. We also wanted to find explanation why many patients have not used the prescribed orthoes for gait correction in their every day life.
