Abstract		The paper describes physiological principles of action of hyperbaric oxygen on the growth of capillaries in wounds and bacterial infections of wounds. A review of conditions in which hyperbaric oxygenation can aid healing and clinical experience in this area is also presented.
Summary		V prispevku so opisani fiziološki principi delovanja hiperbaričnega kisika na rast kapilar v ranah in na bakterijsko okužbo ran. Podan je tudipregled stanj, kjer lahko s hiperbarično oksigenacijo pomagamo pri celjenju ran, ter klinične izkušnje na tem področju.
