| Abstract | The article deals with a new view on the necrotizing enterocolitis, which is still one of the main causes of mortality and illness of the premature infants. Necrotizing enterocolitis appears mainly at premature newborns, only 10% of all infants with necrotizing enterocolitis are born on time. Clinical signs appear already between the 2nd and 5th day after the birth if the child is born on time, while at premature infants only after the l5th day of age. In the article new news of ethiopathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostics, prophylaxis and therapy of necrotizing enterocolitis are described. | |
