Abstract		Androgen binding proteins were found in the cytosol and in the plasma membrane prepared from protoplasts of the filamentous fungus Cochliobolus lunatus. Testosterone and 4-androstene-3,17-dione (androstenedione) binding proteins were determined and analysed according to Scatchard. Steroid binding specificity of androgen binding proteins in the cytosol and in the plasma membrane fraction, was determined by competitors androstenedione, testosterone, progesterone, dihydrotestosterone, 17 beta-estradiol and diethylstilbestrol.
