Abstract     The influence of carbon dioxide-induced proton load on the tetanic contraction of isolated rat soleus muscle as an skeletal muscle model with low metabolic proton load was studied. The ireversible-declined maximal tetanic force and an reversible-prolonged tetanic rise-time of soleus due to acidosis was found.
