Abstract		Several recent studies suggest that emergency physicians may not be giving adequate analgesia to patients with acutely painful conditions. The relief of pain and sedation is considered one of the most important goals in the treat-ment of severely ill patients because of patophysiological effect of pain. Analgesics should be titrated and given intravenously to the severely ill patients to omit the adverse reactions.
