Abstract		For the admission of a critically ill patient to the Internal Medicine Emergency Department we have to prepare an ambulance. We must assure a continual control of life functions and we have to determine the necessary urgent treatment referring to cases of other critically ill patients. We have to psychologically and physically prepare the patient for transfer to intensive care. On admission and then on the transfer of the patient we try to collate as much information as possible, so the patient will have a better chance of survival.
