Abstract		Acute myocardial infarction is the most common cardiac emergency. Rapid diagnosis and immediate intervention can alter the clinical outcome. The nurse is very often the first person with the patient with acute myocardial infarction and it is very important for them to recognise the most typical complaints and the most characteristic electrocardiographic patterns of myocardial infarction.
