Abstract		Biographical research method becomes more and more important research tool concerning the individual ageing process as well as the analysing collective subjectivity in a cohort of people grown up under similar sociohistorical circumstances. A lot of time was spent on discussion of the biographical method at the third European gerontological congress. This method bases on life story narration and represents the structured picture of individual self including the verbal and the body scheme. By this qualitative research tool new gerontological subdisciplines are developed, t.e. gerontology of every day life, life-course gerontology, cultural gerontology.
