Abstract		An allograft is trasplanted tissue from a representative of the same speciaes.In otosurgery, an allograft was first used in 1964, and in Slovenia the first surgery with use of an allograft was performed in 1979 at the Medical Center Ljubljana, Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery. Since then, and until July 1996 24 allografts have been implanted at this department. In the present paper the functional results of allograft-tympanolasty with respect to the different indications of the middle ear are discussed. When using allografts in "wet" ears, a satisfactory functional results was reached in 38 %. In implantation of allografts in "dry" ears satisfactory functional results were abtained in 81,5 % which comparable with the functional results described by other authors. Where autologous material is not available the use of allografts is still the most successful method for restoring the functional middle ear ossicular chain.
Summary		Presajeno tkivo med predstavniki iste vrste imenujemo alografte. Po prvi uporabi alografta v ušesni kirurgiji leta 1964 je bila v Sloveniji prva tovrstna operacija opravljena leta 1979 na Kliniki za otorinolaringologijo in cervikofacialno kirurgijo Kliničnega centra v Ljubljani. Od takrat pa do julija leta 1996 je bilo na tej kliniki presajenih 24 alograftov. V delu je prikazan funkcionalni uspeh timpanoplastik z alografti glede na vrsto bolezni srednjega ušesa. Pri vsaditvi alograftov v "vlažna" ušesa smo dobili funkcionalni uspeh v 38 %, pri vsaditvi v "suha" ušesa pa v 81,5 %, kar je primerljivo z v literaturi navedenimi uspehi te metode. Uporaba alograftov, razen seveda upooraba avtolognega materiala, je še vedno najuspešnejši način za ponovno vzpostavitev funckionalne slušne verige srednjega ušesa.
