Abstract		Spindle cell carcinoma is a rare neoplasm, its incidence being 1 % of all of the squamous cell carcinomas of the larynx. The question of its histopathegenesis remains unanswered, but the majority of authors accept its squamous cell origin. The authors describe the diagnostics, therapy and follow-up of ten patients with spindle cell carcinoma of the larynx. In four patients, squamous cell characteristics of the spindle cell component were demonstated immunohistochemically.Two patients developed cervical metastases with spindle cell component. Radiotherapy proved to be a successful mode of primary treatment of early staques of spindle cell carcinoma.
Summary		Vretenastocelični karcinom je redka novotvorba, predstavlja 1 % vseh ploščatoceličnih karcinomov grla. Še vedno ni popolnoma rešeno vprašanje njegove histopatogeneze, vendar gre po mnenju večine avtorjev za biološko različico ploščatoceličnega karcinoma. Avtorja opisujeta diagnostiko, zdravljenje in spremljanje stanja desetih bolnikov s tem rakom. Pri štirih bolnikih smo imunohistokemično dokazali lastnosti epiteljskih tkiv vretenastocelične komponente. Pri dveh sta se razvila vratna zasevka z vretenastocelično komponento. Obsevalno zdravljenje se je izkazalo za učinkovito primarno zdralvjenje začetnih stadijev vretenastocličnega karcinoma.
