| Abstract | A case of a 31-year-old man; toxicological tests were used to prove objectively that death resulted fro m a heroin overdose. The paper presents the results of the autopsy and describes the used analytical method, GC-MS. Literature related to the interpretation of death due to opiate overdose is discussed with emphasis on parameters which can lead to the incorrect interpretation of individual cases. | |
