Abstract     Backgraund. Loss of extension is well-known complication following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. One of the reasons of the complication is Cyclops syndrome, that presents with progressive loss of extension, associated with pain and audiable "clunk" at terminal extension. Loss of extensioni is caused by a benign fibrous nodule, which impinges between the tibia and the roof of intercondylar notc during extension. Pathogenesis of the fibrous nodule is as yet uncleared. Conclusions. The clinical manifestation, etiology and prognosis are specific and must be distinguished from other causes of loss of motion after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. We report a case of a 27-year old female treated for Cyclops syndrome.
