Abstract		It was the aim of our study to investigate the role of laparoscopic cancer resection for cure. Postoperative morbidity, pain and hospital stay in 21 patients was reduced and patients' recovery clearly accelerated compared to cenventionally operated patients (n = 54). The number of resected lymph nodes and tumor margins were comparable; however, the problem of port recurrences remains yet unsolved.
