| Abstract | Furcation involvement in molars was evaluated from panoramic radiograps of unreferred patients. The condition was to be much more common in mandibular morals than in maxillary ones. Its prevalence increased with age and resorption of marginal alveolar bone. For thorough assessment, panoramic x-rays should be complemented with clinical examination and intraoral radiographs. | |
