Abstract | The midgut a canal like structure and the surface texture of the epithelial cells of the midgut is seen. Some epithelial cells on the surface of midgut epithelium espiceally in the anterior and posterior parts are extruded. Brush border on the apical part of epitelium is well developed. Using X-ray microanalysis on SEM the experimental samples of honeybee larvae show the presence of lead reaction product, denoting acid phosphatase acti-vity. Calcium is also found to be present. Some aspects of the finding the cellular calcium is discused.
Summary | Srednje črevo je cevaste strukture, epitelne celice v anteriornem in posteriornem koncu so izbočene v svetlino črevesa.
