Abstract		In the article Sapir's elaboration of "culture-personality" problematic is discussed. The main point of the analysis represent materials of Sapir's lectures which had beed given at Yale. between 1933 and 1937, at University of Chicago between 1927 and 1928 and as Rockeffeler's seminar in the year 1932-33. In the text Sapir's understending of culture is discussed, his elaboration of cultural pattern and configuration is presented, methodological and epistemological problems related with his understanding of culture are analysed and his elaboration of relationship between individuum and culture is presented. Also his critisism of Benedict and Mead and his attitude to psychoanalysis is discussed.
