Abstract		*The femoral neck - femoral shalf angle ( CCD) is an important geometrical parameter of the hip which determines the biomechanical status of the hip. In congenital coxa vara the angle CCD is extremly small, therefore it is operatively increased during the so called valgus osteotomy in order to diminish the stresses in the femoral neck. It was shown in this work that valgus osteotomy is additonally favourable also because it increases the relative hip abductor muscle strength as a side effect.
Summary		Kolodiafizarni kot (CCD) je pomemben geometrijski parameter, ki določa biomehansko stanje kolka. Pri prirojeni coxa vari je kot CCD izredno majhen. Zato ga običajno operativno povečajo, da bi na ta način zmanjšali prevelike napetosti v stegneničnem vratu. V tem delu smo pokazali, je povečanje kota CCD pri zdravljenju prirojene coxa vare koristno tudi zato, ker poveča relativno moč kolčnih abduktorjev.
