Abstract | During the positioning of the cemented hip stem, air and blood can mix with cement. In this way cement filling defects are formed. We simulated them in two ways; as small holes in the cement mantle and as cracks between stem and cement. Bone/cement/stem structure was modelled by finite element method. Close to the defects considerable interface stress concentrations were seen. | |
Summary | Medtem ko kirurg postavlja cementirano femoralno endoprotezo v končni položaj, se med cement lahko pomešata zrak in kri. Tako nastanejo nepravilnsoti v cementnem plašču. Le te smo predstavili na dva načina: kot luknjice v cementnem plašču in kot razpoke na stiku cementa z implantom. Strukturo sestavljeno iz kosti, cementa in implanta smo modelirali s pomočjo metode končnih elementov. V bližini defektov smo v porazdelitvi napetosti na kontaktu cementa in implanta opazili znatne koncentracije. | |
