| Abstract | Two categories of costs for emergency medical care in primary health care are described in the project: ambulance station duty service. First, the author presents the region of three communities, Bled, Bohinj and Radovljica, and the organizational structure of primary health care with special emphasis on emergency medical care. The measures of the Institute for the organization and financing of emergency medical care - ambulance station and duty service - are standardized mainly regarding the number of inhabitants. The region of Bled, Bohinj and Radovljica communities is, however, according to several criteria above standard (size, population density, tourism, tourists from abroad, sport activities and recreation, land relief). Organization structure and equipment of duty service and ambulance station is therefore adapted to these specifities and is a little larger than the confirmed measures of IHIS. This cause greater differences in financing of existing services in emergency medical care. Considering the non-standard needs of all three communities for provision of emergency medical care and duty service, the author is not trying to find economic solutions in reducing health staff and equipment in these services, but rather in additional financing within newly organized local administration (community) touristic economy and sponsor donations. Author is trying to preserve the quality of health services with a managerial approach to finding financial means, and to maintain the developmental trend in the organization of primary health care in this region. | |
