Abstract		According to the Medicinal Products Act, published in the Official Gazette of RS No 9/96 which has come into force on the 2 March 1996, the Agency for Medical Products of the RS has been established in the frame of the Ministry of Health. The task of the Agency is to ensure a modern and good provision of population with medicines, with the emphasis on protection of the patient from inadequate medicines. The Agency for Medical Products of the Republic of Slovenia co/laborates with institutions, which are each in charge of a qualitative health care of Slovenian population on its own domain. Agency for Medical Products of the Republic of Slovenia is responsible for the linking of experts from the domain of pharmacology, rnedicine and other professions into joint commissions which with their high expertness and competencies deal with individual domains. The tasks of the Agency for Medical Products of the Republic of Slovenia will be defined in detail by executive regulations which will follow the Law and are already in preparation.
