Abstract | The article deals with the importance of healthy diet in the treatment of diabetes. Without it, no other method of treatment is efficient enough. The diet of a diabetic patient is a healty, balanced diet which can be recommended to every healthy individual. By means of a healthy diet, high blood sugar and its postprandial rise can be lowered, as well as the level of fats in blood and blood pressure in diabetic patients. Health education - counseling on healthy eating - is carried out by properly trained personnel (nurses, dieticians, physicians). Each patient is included into counseling in a clinic for diabetes. | |
Summary | Članek obravnava pomen zdrave prehrane v zdravljenju sladkorne bolezni. Brez nje nobena druga metoda zdravljenja ni dovolj učinkovita. Prehrana sladkornega bolnika je zdrava, uravnotežena prehrana, ki je priporočljiva tudi za vsakega zdravega posameznika. Namen zdrave prehrane pri sladkorni bolezni je znižanje sladkorja v krvi in njegovega porasta po obroku, zmanjšanje maščob v krvi in znižanje krvnega tlaka. Zdravstvenovzgojno delo - svetovanje bolnikom o zdravi prehrani - izvaja ustrezno izobraženo osebje (medicinska sestra, dietetik, zdravnik). Vsak bolnik je deležen svetovanja v diabetološki ambulanti. | |
