| Abstract | The primary purpose of dental and oral health products is inhibition of microbial plaque formation and thereafter prevention of most frequent oral diseases. In the article dental deposits (pelicule, dental plaque, dental calculus), dental and periodontal diseases (caries, gingivitis, periodontitis) and the reasons of their onset are presented. Dental and oral health products exist the most frequent in the form of toothpastes and mouthwashes. In the article the main and active components of such preventive products are presented. Pharmacist can advise selection of suitable product and variety of mechanical cleaning devices. | |
