Abstract		This is a brief overeview of topics, problems and results that have been obtained in the recent years in robot kinematics. The aspiration is also to identify the directions of the future development of this researc area. The investigation is based ion the reports presented in the proceedings of the series of international symposia Advances in Robot Kinematics, as well as in the articles published by widely recognised jouornals specialised in robotics.
