Abstract | The immune system was developed as a response of multicellular organisms to microbioal pathogens. Microbes are evolutionally extremely flexible; the are able to quickly adapt and to neutralize noxious acts of the host organism. In response, the immune reactions of each individual host must be unique enough to make useless any microbial adaptation to the host, as such and adaptation would not be functional in any other host. | |
