Abstract		Accurate data on the trends of oral disease in the Republic of Slvoenia have not been evailable so far. The first large-scale epidemiological survey was conducted in 1987 (1). A second one using the same methodology was performed in 1993. Both surveys covered all nine geographical regions of Slvoenia. They were designed to assess the caries experience and its trends, as well as the prevalence of periodontal disease and dentofacial anomalies in the population.
