Abstract		Various femoral and pelvic gemetrical parameters of adult healthly subjects were measured from standard anterior-posterior radiographis and analysed by using descriptive statistical procedures. It was shown that the female population has a significantly wider pelvis and a smaller femoral head redius than the male population, indicating that contact stress on the hip joint articular surface may be higher in females than in males.
