Abstract		Presented is the case of a 47-year-old female patient afflicted with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and showing numerous systemic manifestations of the disease. In the course of treatment several therapeutic methods were applied. Treatment was begun in 1993 with peroral corticosteroid therapy, in the beginning of 1996 she received a cytostatic pulse therapy with cyclophosphamide, folllowed by i.v. applications of immunoglobulins. As the entire therapy brought no satisfactory remission, finally treatment with low doses of cyclosporin. A (3-5 mg/kg/day) was chosen. As a result the patient is in satisfactory remission. She is still taking low peroral doses of corticosteroids.
