Abstract		Manometry is used for the measurement of pressure in different parts of the esophagus. Of the two measuring techniques, the dynamic and the static, the Clinic for Gastroenterology is currently applying only the dynamic technique. The obtained computer print-out of the measuring results provides additional help to the internist-gastroenterologist as well as to the abdominal surgeon when deciding on further therapeutic measures.
