Abstract     Ergonomic changes must be complex, if they are to effective. The effectiveness depends on how much workers accept them and get used to them. Worldwide research shows that ergonomic changes are effective and well received if workers co-operate in their implementation. Such changes intervene deeply into the work and the working environment but do not demand great material means. The ten commandments of the humanization of work include measures for the adaptation of the work to the individual and the individual to the work. They can be of help to the worker, the employer, the state. To each in the field they are interested in, that concerns them or that they are responsible for.
