Abstract     Determining the time of death is an integral part of a coroner's work. In doing this, we sometimes encounter problems, since there is very little data available from discovered bodies and we can only determine earlier and later changes to the body. We must always take into account several changes, since the determination of a single one does not suffice. The less time that passes between the death and the discovery of the body, the more accurately the time of death can be assessed.
